Description

Our Reflective Tibetan Singing Bowls have a shiny surface that catches the light. You can see nearby shapes reflected on them, kind of like a mirror. The polished look makes them stand out. When you play one, the tone is deep and long-lasting for a good while. The difference can be compared with our collection of dim singing bowls with these bowls.

They are handmade by Newari artisans in Nepal and crafted from bronze, a mix of copper and tin. Everything’s done by hand, such as shaping, hammering, and polishing. No two bowls turn out the same, which makes them special.

People use Tibetan singing bowls for various practices, including meditation, creating a calm space, sound healing, and chakra balancing. The sound helps with focus and relaxation.

They come in two different diameters: 9-11 cm (200-400 grams) and 14-15 cm (600-800 grams).

Each singing bowl is handcrafted, so slight variations in diameter and weight, as well as small marks or surface scratches, are natural and part of its authentic character.

About Sound Recording

The sound recording serves as an example of the singing bowl’s sound. As each singing bowl is handcrafted, slight variations in tone and resonance may occur.

The sound is recorded from the same size range and category of the singing bowl.

About Sizes & Craftsmanship

Since, each singing bowl is handcrafted, making no two bowls the same. We categorise our singing bowls by size in one of three ways: a diameter range (e.g. 19-21 cm, 21–22 cm), an approximate measurement, or an exact diameter. Also, the weight will vary from bowl to bowl which means no two bowls will have the same weight.

The marks left by the crafting process such as hammer marks, subtle scratches, and slight surface variations, are a natural part of every bowl. They're signs of authentic, hand craftsmanship, not imperfections.

For etched singing bowls category, each design is individually finished. Variations in patterns and motifs may occur across the inner walls, outer walls, and outer base from bowl to bowl, while the central inner base design remains consistent. The product images on the respective page reflect the overall style and craftsmanship of the bowl.

Usage & Benefits

Singing bowls have been used for centuries in Himalayan spiritual and meditation traditions. Today, they're widely embraced in yoga, meditation, sound healing, and wellness practices like Reiki and more.

A recent systematic review of clinical studies suggests singing bowl meditation may support relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve sleep quality and helping explain their growing use worldwide.

Traditional Hand-craftsmanship

Our singing bowls are hand-hammered by Newari artisans in Nepal using techniques passed down through generations. Each bowl starts as a flat piece of metal alloys and is gradually shaped, refined, and polished by hand. Depending on the design, it may also be etched or hand-carved with symbolic patterns.
