Description
This exquisite pair of Antique Pedestal Singing Bowls is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Forged in two parts — the bowl and the pedestal (hence the name). They combine elegance with exceptional resonance. Their origins remain a mystery, though they are believed to have once filled temples, ceremonies, and spiritual gatherings with sound and intention.
Together, these two antique bowls create a harmonious dialogue of tones. Each unique in pitch and character, yet beautifully complementary when played side by side. The result is a layered, immersive sound experience that resonates deeply within the body and mind.
About our Pedestal Singing Bowls
Handcrafted from bronze in Nepal during the 19th century, each bowl bears the marks of time and craftsmanship. The bowls in this collection feature a top diameter between 18 and 19 cm and weigh approximately 1.1 to 1.4 kg, carefully chosen for their visual and tonal harmony.
What Makes Pedestal Singing Bowls Unique?
With their distinct stem design and self-amplifying form, pedestal bowls expand outward from the centre and taper toward the rim, creating a rich, sustained resonance. Resting gracefully on their base, they can be played upright, sideways, or inverted, producing bright, layered overtones that sustain effortlessly in the air.
Usage
Pedestal singing bowls are valued for their long, resonant tones and are widely used in sound healing, meditation, and chakra alignment. They can also be displayed as ritual or decorative pieces, adding an air of sacred beauty to any setting.

Usage & Benefits
Singing bowls have been used for centuries in Himalayan spiritual and meditation traditions. Today, they're widely embraced in yoga, meditation, sound healing, and wellness practices like Reiki and more.
A recent systematic review of clinical studies suggest singing bowl meditation may support relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve sleep quality and helping explain their growing use worldwide.
Traditional Hand-craftsmanship
Our singing bowls are hand-hammered by Newari artisans in Nepal using techniques passed down through generations. Each bowl starts as a flat piece of metal alloys and is gradually shaped, refined, and polished by hand. Depending on the design, it may also be etched or hand-carved with symbolic patterns.
